The pile of stones at the entry to the Terelj National Park represents a Shaman rite in Mongolia dating back to the 12th and 13th century Genghis Khan period. One should find a stone elsewhere, walk thrice around the pile then throw it on, bringing good fortune to the traveller. The blue silk represents the eternal sky of Mongolia.
